“I am a proud mother, attorney, and life long democrat. My name is Amber Medina and I am ready to be your State Representative for District 37.“
Amber has dedicated her legal career to providing a voice for all people. In 2003, she joined the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney, where she fought for justice for victims of crimes. Amber left the District Attorney’s Office to become a personal injury trial attorney, and for the past twelve years, she has been exclusively representing people who were injured and families of those who have passed away.
In 2013, she decided to pursue a leadership role in politics after years of working behind the scenes. Amber ran for Cameron County Democratic Party Chair in a special election and won. As Chair, she worked tirelessly for three terms with fellow Democrats, activists, and leaders in our community and across the United States to affect positive change for our community.
Her legal and leadership experiences have taught her that to be a successful advocate you must set yourself aside. You must look to others and listen to their needs, to uncover the issues that are often hidden or ignored. You must know when to stand up to affect change, and when to step back and work towards comprise to resolve issues.
She has the experience, determination, and the heart necessary to be your State Representative.
